GHRP 2 (Pralmorelin)
GHRP 2 (Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide 2) also known as Pralmorelin, Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide-2; GHRP2
Also called Pralmorelin or KP 102, GHRP-2 is a synthetic hexapeptide GHRP. The Growth Hormone Releasing peptide releases growth hormone by acting on the Pituitary Gland and hypothalamus while having a minimum effect on cortisol, Prolactin, and ACTH levels. GHRP-2 simulates the body’s secretion of hGH, hence why it is referred to as a true HGH Secretagogue. Human Growth hormone has shown to reduce body fat and enhance lean body mass. From studies, GHRP2 has shown remarkable results in stimulating the production of Growth Hormone. The major limitation of GHRP2 is its short half-life.

GHRP-2 and CJC-1295/Sermorelin (GRF Analogue interactions)
GHRP-2 has no close ties with GHRH Peptides like CJC-1295 and Sermorelin due to it fact that it acts on different receptors. On the other hand, a more potent result is observed when GHRP-2 is administered alongside other GHRH like modified GRF 1-29 or CJC-1295 DAC. This peptide is a synthetic super-analog of GHRP-6 with the capabilities of having a potent effect on GH secretion. It also affects ACTH and PRL levels. It’s peptide receptors usually interact with the Ghrelin hormone. GHRP-2 studies showed it increased growth hormone secretion.
Comparison between GHRP-2 and GHRP-6
GHRP-2 is classified as a 2nd generation GHRP. When compared with GHRP-6, it shows more superiority in regards to growth hormone stimulation because of its ability to maintain maximum peaks in Growth Hormone. It has been observed that Insulin-like Growth Factor 1 is increased by GHRP-2, and an even more significant result is observed when it is combined with GHRH. Just like GHRP-6, GHRP-2 has a short half-life. GHRP-2 along with other ghrelin analogues inhibit somatostatin as a result of the increase in the number of somatotrophs in the GH pulse. GHRP-2 does not induce fat storage. It also does not significantly increase appetite.
GHRP-2 as a Growth Hormone Secretagogue
Studies have shown that GHRP-2 enhances the production of GH (Growth Hormone). From studies carried out in the 1990s, GHRP (Growth Hormone Releasing Peptides) showed signs of a potential combatant to hormone deficiency in children and adults. The revelation from these studies showed that GHRP-2 could assist those who can’t produce human growth hormone on their own. This is because each persons GHRP receptors and pituitary somatotrophs operate differently.
